Our Story
Perth Medical Volunteers was founded in 2019, to develop a way to provide first aid and medical services, By the Community, For the Community. We wanted to create an alternate option for both members of the public, as well as medical students to put their well learned theoretical knowledge of medical services into practice in an appropriate setting.
Since 2019, we have grown from a small team of three first aiders working out of a living room, to a large team of over 200+ medical professionals, serving the community across all areas of pre-hospital event, health and emergency management. We are proud to be able to offer a range of different types of service, starting from smaller school and community events, all the way up to high-risk motorsports, and large scale concerts or festivals.
We have enjoyed the opportunity to provide a range of educational placement opportunities to students across a range of universities and tertiary provides, assisting to develop the next generation of medical professionals for Western Australia and continue to do so daily.
As a registered charity, our services are fully funded by donations and fees for services, which are put directly back into the charity for equipment, training and development of our services. We are very proud to be able to offer the services that we do to the community, and hope to continue to develop and grown as we look into the future.
